Bio

Caitlin Robertson is an American musician and singer-songwriter. Having recently returned to her home state of Minnesota after spending the last decade living in Alaska, the Pacific Northwest and Northern Florida, Caitlin is enjoying her return to a landscape that she loves and knows, focusing on music and reflecting on her last ten years. She has formed a group called, “Caitlin Robertson and the Dusty Hearts”, which plays at various venues throughout Minnesota. She released her first full-length solo album, Coyote Blues, in December 2011, and promptly put out her sophomore album, If it Takes All Winter, in March 2012.  She is currently performing and writing full-time.

Robertson describes the style of her music as being “folk-rock-country-pop”. Her songs weave Minnesota-prairie-farmgirl, wild-unsettled-Alaskan-woman, and Southern-swampy mystery into intricate narratives that tell simple truths with both sweet and haunting melodies.  Coyote Blues and If it Takes All Winter express her cherished connections to the landscapes she has lived in, and speak universal truths of love, heartache and longing.
